Great picnic spot with plenty of fun for the whole family. There's swimming, boating, body boarding and just plain relaxing. Only negative is the excessive speed and antics of the jet skiers. Would be great to have an enforced speed limit.

The Clyde Dam is at one end of Lake Dunstan. It’s quite large and from the look out you can see the Dam and upper parts of the lake. I found the lake drive to the dam really beautiful.

The view is quite good from here or the lookout road. Worth stopping for a look after a good rain when they need to do some spilling. Impressive sight then, otherwise a good explanation or hydroelectric power generation and a bit of history of the...More

A very substantial dam above Clyde, an excellant view obtained from the road going to Cromwell as well as the lake behind. The lake is great for water sports although the water can be cold,

Took drive out here based on information in travel brochure. Museum closed as volunteers only man place. Few historic buildings but certainly not like how brochure read. Had lunch at Oliver's bar menu. Bit expensive for what we got. Wouldn't waste time going here again....More

There's a great view of Clyde township, Lake Dunstan, the Clutha river and Earnscleugh fruit growing area with a view of the Alexandra hills in the background. In the winter you are able to see the different sections of property exposed because there are no...More

Very imoressive engineering done on this water storage dam near Clyde in South Land New Zealand. Spectacular mountains and bare rock faces feed this dam. Lookout on the Southern side will make for good photo op.

Massive construction, well worth a visit. Went on a club outing and everybody enjoyed it. It takes about 2 hours, but well worth the time. 38 of us.
