My grandson and I took a 1 hour ride with Warkworth. Heather, one of the proprietors accompanied us. The ride was just right. My grandson had not done too much riding, just limited trails. We did some trotting and cantering, a little time moving around their flat field. Everyone very, very friendly and judged our capabilities right from the start, fitting the experience to our level. It was great.
It is a great thing to do when in the Warkworth area. We booked it as an activity near the end of our 2 week NZ trip and were very glad we did.

I took my 9 year old daughter and 2 of her friends for a horse trek here as a birthday treat. My daughter received special treatment as the birthday girl which was really nice for her. All of us really enjoyed the ride and Heather and Lara who were our guides were fantastic. They tailored the horse trek taking into account the girls' abilities and experience. All 3 girls got to trot on their horses which they really enjoyed. The horses were great and the views along the trek were great as well. All the girls were raving about it long after the ride.

Wonderful horses and a wonderful team. I spent a lovely two hours with the team during the summer Christmas break and thoroughly enjoyed my time. The staff are friendly, helpful and the horses are well cared for and a pleasure to ride. If you have time try the two hour ride. Enjoy!

I have gone there twice and have had so much fun. both times I had buzz twice me and him are best buds. all the staff and horses are so considerate they have taught me not to be scared of horses and I have made so many friends with the staff and horses. me and my cousin and uncle love it there (my friend said she wanted to go there for her birthday because I talk about it so much!) make sure to wear sunscreen!

Amazing scenery, wonderful trek through the bush. Enough staff to keep an eye out on everyone. I had a teen and 8 year old with me. They separated the groups so the beginners could go at a slow pace, the first time for my youngest and she enjoyed it and I felt she was safe on her like pony. My teenager loved she got to cantor and trot.

We had an unforgettable experience. As a family with young kids who had never ridden I was a bit nervous at first but the staff were absolute professionals. They matched us with the perfect horses and were right by our sides the whole time. They all made sure we felt comfortable and safe and that we had a fun time. We also could see how much they loved the horses. My kids are still talking about the fun they had that day. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I was a competent rider but hadn’t ridden for a while. This was one of the things I really wanted to do in my New Zealand visit and it didn’t disappoint! I rode with Lily, who was friendly, chatty and a pleasure to spend 2 hours with. She geared the ride to my ability perfectly, but made it interesting and fun!
Roger and Heather were lovely to chat to and quite obviously love and care for their horses. It makes a nice change to go to a riding stables and see healthy, happy animals.
I would highly recommend taking a visit here! Thanks for a great morning

We had an one hour ride and it was so enjoyable. The scenery was fantastic and the path was interesting: uphill, downhill, horses loved to drink and splashed water, etc. The owners were so friendly. Heather was a very good rider as well as a photographer ... oops ... please don't forget my photos.

I paid $180 for a two hour ride for my daughter and I. It is 5 minutes north of Warkworth and there are plenty of places to eat and drink there.
