Really great regional park with various medium and long distance tracks available, stunning scenery, great rocky but sandy beaches, open blue ocean, what a combination. This park is an Open Sanctuary for various birds, Takahe, Pateke, Kiwi, Dotterel and Robin, as well as a Marine...More

Love Tawharanui. The Beach is stunning, the regional park is super peaceful. Perfect place for a romantic picnic or the day out with the kids. Good boogie boarding and snorkeling!

Beautiful beach and amazing walks. A good range to choose from, with varying degrees of difficulty and different lengths. At low tide a lovely walk to and from Omaha Beach too (easily accessible two hours either side of low tide).

This place was absolutely stunning. We did the short walk EcoWalk and it gave us plenty of variety - bush, ferns, creek, old stand trees as well as beach, Other walks looked good but we have limited time

Great park for fishing, beach and camping. There's loads of animals and birds wandering around the place too. Book early as on weekends and holidays this place gets booked out.

First visit but the day was late summers day and sun out. The road out quite windy which not a problem for me but would be for children who suffer from car sickness. I believe the road has been recently sealed. Lots of different beach...More
