There's no maintenance on the derelict ruins, but the lake is a nice swimming spot. It's limestone (obviously) with a spring in the bottom. There's picnic tables, and very basic toilet facilities. Popular with teens and pre-teens, an overgrown mess but still worth a visit.

The abandoned buildings of the cement works look like ruined cathedrals, and they were certainly temples of industry, supplying wartime cement to Australia. Pleasant walk by river and boats moored along the river enliven your atroll
