    Great gallery
    This is an amazing gallery. Although a bit out of way , being just off the main road at the bavk of the shops but well worth the visit. Superb craft ceramics to browse and buy. Rick is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk to about his collection.

    Museum Quality and Kiwi Scale
    Every piece in the shop is a gem worth a visit. A museum would spread out this collection over a vast area. But in this shop, it’s packed together but all known and loved. What’s most incredible is that it’s all for sale at realistic prices. Putting it within the range of possibility for ceramics collectors of all levels. And for potters, it’s a must see collection.

    Delighted by a hidden gem
    The gentleman running Of Hand & Heart very kindly collaborated with me to surprise my sister on her birthday with a lovely gift from his gallery. He could not have been more kind or helpful. Such a lovely spot—a must-see in a back alley off Warkworth’s Queen Street. Just follow the “yellow brick road” that guides you to the gallery. A hidden gem!

    Beautiful art and great to see, even if you don't buy.
    Beautiful art, and the best small gallery I have ever been to. If we had more money, and not overspent, we may well have purchased a few things. The artwork and the sculptures are really great quality, but are not the cheapest. Would recommend anyone going through warkworth to stop on by and spend 10-15 minutes looking through the gallery.

    A treat for the senses
    We wandered along the yellow brick path to Rick's studio/ store with no expectations. Browsed a varied & quite large selection of mainly pottery but also art, garments , jewellery to the sound of beautiful classical .music. I could have bought several beautiful objects but settled on a small, very reasonably priced piece made by Rick, look for the green dots. Will recommend to friends & be back when next in town. A treat.

    Delightful gallery displaying a huge variety of NZ art of highest quality, imagination and variety of art disciplines. Excellent friendly service. Wish I had found it earlier to take visitors. Lovely destination for girls day out.

    Loved the variety of beautiful art on display at this gallery. Local and NZ artists work is of a high quality. Many gifts for the home, family and friends. Follow the yellow bricks down the alley beside Pete and Mary's cafe to the doors. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.A must

Unique gifts to take abroad

It was quite impressive shopping experience, during covid which was back to 2-3 years before I was interested a recipe rabbit but could not drive that far to warkworth so lost the chance; after years I received an email saying they got some rabbits from Fiona T again, amazing, and managed to purchase this blue rabbit eventually. This is a nice place to visit if you are coming or passing warkworth, coffee break shop just 2mins away, and a lot of nice art pieces there.
Definitely will go n visit next time if I am there.
Warkworth is so much to visit if you are coming overseas. The town river walk, karui bush walk, this art gallery and sheep world….

A quirky gallery off the Main Street of Warkworth. Well worth exploring as the gallery is filled with and international art of all types. And the proprietor Rick, was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Great place, great experience

Wide variety of exhibits & a very kind and knowledgeable man who took the time to talk to us about each piece that my dad was interested in, then when I called later to reserve a particular piece as a gift for dad he was very helpful and obliging. Great place, highly recommended, will return.
