Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Quite a nice farm away from the city. They have a nice range of animals and it is free to walk around the area to look at them. The carpark is decently sized and there is an information shed by the road. The farm does cover a large area so you are able to walk around to enjoy the countryside. They do have a shearing and milking shed so there are probably timed shows for them. There is also a campground nearby.
It was a nice place to walk around with kids since the large numbers and variety of animals are quite interesting. The older ones can also be taken to the longer walks around the area.

So much fun interacting and being with the farm animals. Children had such a great time on the farm. Well kept grounds and animals are greatly loved.

Worth a detour enroute to Auckland airport (depending on which direction you are travelling from of course), butvreally only if you have kids. It’s very limited for adults. Perhaps great for overseas travellers who aren’t used to see our kind of livestock etc

A large and quiet park near to the airport. You can go in freely and interact with the animals (not only sheep) there. Remember to close the gate after you come out from the fences.

We stopped there on the way to the Auckland Airport. The farm is very nice and it gives opportunity to see many animals including sheep, goats, pigs, and cows. A very nice place to visit for a while.

We had a few hours to kill before dropping off our rental car and flying back to Sydney. The sun has come out so we headed to Ambury Park. It was lovely seeing tourists, locals, families, couples all making the most of this beautiful farm and park .

Have been a regular visitor these last 6 years with kids. From babies through to school age kids, we and they love Ambury. Lots of close encounters with heaps of farm animals. Today we got to pet: young cows, kunekune (pig), baby lambs, a goat and some large Clydesdales (horses). Feeding the lambs by bottle a particular highlight, but note this activity now very popular, so be prepared to share your bottle. Love Auckland Council and the many volunteers for keeping this a free fantastic experience for locals and visitors!!!
