My honey and I were picked up in Ahipara and driven to meet the bus at the Ancient Kauri Kingdom and then spent a full day with Cape Tours Petricevich and our driver/guide Pauli. This tour is an all day event that travels to the Lighthouse at Cape Reinga on the very top of the New Zealand’s north island. On... More

It could have been a super trip but felt rather rushed. The lunch was filling but very ordinary, thought this was a good option but would have preferred a cut lunch. Our driver unfortunately did not give very much information especially on the highway as we travelled up to Cape Reinga. Would have liked to have lingered longer & just... More

This is the way to get to the Cape without driving worries and good value at $50 each for adults and $25 for children. Informative and helpful driver. Awesome drive up the 90 mile beach and then there is the dune riding down the high sandhills. Plenty of time at the Cape to walk to the lighthouse and take in... More

Note this tour bus is Dune Rider Unique as there are other Dune Rider tours. We used our own car to go from Kerikeri to Kaitaia saving $200.00 ($100.00 per person) our drivers name was Garth and he was awesome, he kept up a great running commentary all the way and often added humorous remarks. 90 mile beach is a... Paul, our Dune Rider driver/guide from Kerikeri picked us up in front of our accommodations in Paihia at 7:20 as previously arranged. He had on board, several other passengers who had acquired their tickets at the information centre downtown. After filling the bus with more prepaid passengers from 2 other hotels, we were off on our excursion to Cape Reinga,... More

We booked the Cape Reinga tour with this company but unfortunately had to cancel a week beforehand due to a family emergency. They were so understanding that I just had to comment on their service. They answered all my queries promptly before I made the booking. The booking itself was straightforward and cheaper than other tours I found that included... More

A really good day out with informative commentary about all aspects of the journey and Maori culture from our well informed and friendly driver “Tip”. The packed lunch provided turned out to be a proper cooked meal which was good. Stunning views at cape Reinga . Having wondered if this would appeal to me ,I would recommend this.

This must be the best-value day out in the world!! We had so many different experiences throughout the day, a simple but very good lunch, met lots of really friendly hosts, excellent commentary by Garth. And the dune surfing for us all over-60s was hilarious. The four of us were all very happy we chose to see the Far North... More
