One of the prettiest and most useable beaches we have seen in NZ. North end of the beach the track starts for Cathedral Cove--about 1.5 hours. at the North Ends is a short walk to Te Pare for more stunning views.

Get up early and watch the sunrise over the South Pacific. Walk the beach before going into village for ice cream.

Stayed in the caravan park at Hahei. Took a walk up to the top of the Te Pare Reserve. Fantastic views over islands. Look south over the little cove, just beautiful.

A lovely safe swimming beach in a very pretty location. We attended for the annual Cathedral Cove swim. Hahei beach is the start and finish of this wonderful event.

This beach was so beautiful and the walk was perfect. Easy enough for kids but enough challenges to keep you engaged.
