Come by Boat from Hahei Beach and Snorkel the WORLD FAMOUS Cathedral Cove - if you cannot get there via the track come with us by Boat for your snorkeling. We are the only dedicated Snorkeling trip in the Coromandel. PADI Dive Centre - at the base of Cathedral Cove and only 5 minutes to Hot Water Beach, Hahei offers spectacular diving and snorkeling trips both within the Marine Reserve plus outer islands, pinnacles and volcanic coastline outside of the Marine Reserve boundaries. Dive Trips daily for certified divers, at 8:30am and 12pm (also 2:30pm during summer) from our dive shop in Hahei. Snorkel Tours - great quality equipment provided including a warm wetsuit - first time snorkelers and families all welcome. We provide life jackets and floating devices for non swimmers. PADI Dive Courses Open Water, Discover Scuba Diving - no experience necessary (must be able to swim and feel comfortable in ocean water to complete this course), full sales, air fills, tank testing,

Had a great 3 days with the Team down in Hahei. they were able to accommodate me at very short notice on their PADI open water course.
Could not have asked for a better place to dive. We were made to feel welcome and safe with Oscar, Josh, Etienne and Wendy. Plenty of amazing dives only a short trip from the beach. An excellent place to learn
We were real lucky with conditions, 20m visibility, loads of fish; including crays, rays, eels and kingies coming in for a feed on the shoals.
Great value for money, I'll definitely be back and would highly recommend for scuba/padi courses as well as snorkeling

I've just completed my Open Water PADI Diving Course with Cathedral Cove Dive & Snorkel. Honestly, I couldn't recommend them more! They are 100% focused on safety, they're professional, and are locals, so the local intel adds a unique experience. Wendy, Elise, Ella and Josh are brilliant and Hahei is a magical spot to learn to dive.
If you've ever been curious about scuba diving, contact Wendy from Cathedral Cove Dive & Snorkel. As a woman, I felt very comfortable that experienced women could support me to achieve my dream to dive. As a mum, my whānau felt very confident that I was in safe hands at all times.

This company is fantastic, they couldn’t have been more helpful and knowledgeable. Oscar is awesome, really friendly and keen to give you the best experience. Josh our skipper made the boat trip fun and very safe. Etienne looked after our two teenage daughters doing the scuba experience lesson and made it a truly memorable experience for them. Thanks everyone for looking after us.

Just spent 3 days with the team at CCD doing our Open Water Cert.
Oscar was a great instructor who made us feel very safe and also like it was just 3 buddies out for a dive. Skipper, Josh was a good laugh and Wendy is a great host and always kept us up to date with potential weather and changes.
We were lucky enough to see Crayfish, Rays, eels, snapper and little squid.
The business feels very much like a small family run business and we love to be able to support those smaller, more passionate companies. We are now certified and can't wait to get out and do some more diving with CCD again!

We went for our first ever scuba dive with the Cathedral Cove Dive team and had an awesome time! They looked after us through every step and Elise was a great teacher for new divers. We were lucky with the weather and saw heaps of different fish, including a school of bluefish swimming right up by the surface. Recommend them to anyone like us who is keen to give diving a go - and will be back again!

We had 2 great days out snorkelling. All gear was provided and the staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We saw so many fish and sting rays. The Snapper at Gemstone Bay were a highlight. There were a lot and they seemed very interested in our group coming up really close to have a look at us. Just one thing for me the boat rides from and back to the beach were a bit too speedy with the boat banging on the water pretty hard - a more leisurely trip each way would have made the day better for me😊

Thanks Cathy for taking the time with the review and point taken with the boat ride. Yes sometimes the ride can be a bit bumpy if it's windy - luckily it's only a short boat ride out to the dive sites as we're lucky that Hahei is nice and close to the Reserve and the islands. Hope to see you again

Awesome day out snorkelling (wider group went diving). There were plenty of fish to see off Okorotere Island in the marine reserve, the team was incredibly knowledgeable and safety-focused. It was a heap of fun I’d recommend to anyone

What an awesome dive shop - did two dives four days apart as we enjoyed our first dive so much! Wendy the owner was very welcoming and friendly. Elise our dive master was amazing and made us feel so at home. She was very thorough and professional taking excellent care of us all. Dived with my 19 and 21 year old children who both really related well to the team. Josh the skipper was exceptionally good and obviously very experienced. All in all the best dive company I’ve dealt with and a great thing to do whilst on a short holiday.

Had an absolute blast with these guys over a couple of days diving. Fantastic team, super welcoming and friendly despite it being a long time since our last dives. Great dive sites with fish galore and rays for days. Clear tuition and great craic, way better than Gili T!! Thanks to the whole team for a fantastic couple of days, great way to see the marine reserve!

Hi, it is not necessary to know how to swim if you are coming out on a snorkel tour with us as we have plenty of life vests for you to wear to keep afloat. It is however necessary for you to be able to swim and feel comfortable in deeper ocean water if you wanted to scuba dive with us, best to get some snorkeling experience first

Yes the age limit for a Discover Scuba is 10 years and an Open Water student is 12 years. If a 10 year old is quite small it is advisable to wait a few years as the equipment can be quite heavy and bulky out of the water for smaller framed youth. We like to take 2 years and older. Thanks
