We thoroughly enjoyed our kayaking adventure! We were a party of 3 adults and 3 children (under 11years) in tandem kayaks with our great guide Mark. He did a fantastic job as both tour guide and barista. It is certainly a fantastic way to see the beautiful scenery between Hahei and Catherdral Cove and learn more about the history and... More

Loved every minute of our small group kayaking trip with Nick. We have had little kayaking experience but were confident and happy to paddle out to islands and enjoy a few thrills as we paddled between and around small islands. Cathedral cove was stunningly beautiful, the coffee on the beach was perfect. I would highly recommend this tour. Just do... More

Our kayak excursion was absolutely the highlight of our visit to the hot water beach area. Mike and the other guy who led our tour were both amazing, extremely helpful in planning a good day to get out on the water, and fun to spend the day with! As a group of 3 girls from uni in Auckland, all new... More

I did the Cathedral Cove Classic tour. Absolutly loved it. I had no experience what so ever. The guide was excellent. We were lucky with the weather. There is no better way to experience Coromandel. Higly recommend it. WIll recommend it to everyone who travels to Coromandel.

Sooo glad we did this. Thoroughly enjoyed our morning kayaking around the spectacular Cathedral Cove, in July 2012.  As a couple in our early 50s, with only average fitness levels and inexperienced with sea kayaking, it was very achievable and a wonderful way to get to this magic place.  Our guide, Nick adjusted the route according  to the prevailing winds and... Like another reviewer commented, this place has the kind of beauty that stops you in your tracks. So absolutely stunning that it is almost unreal. White rock formations sticking out of the clear blue waters, looking so perfectly placed that you are convinced someone very carefully placed them there. The water a rich clean blue and the beach-wow! That sand......it... More

My trip was early May and my guide was a professional. He provided great instructions to make water entry/ padding/ and water exit easier. The stop in Cathedral Cove was a highlight but so was being in the water paddling round some of the islands. It was easy to sign up and time smartly spent on the trip!

We took the trip one afternoon in April. Our kayaks were excellent and the pre-trip briefing was very professional. Our guide was knowledgeable and very attentive -- he even prepared coffee and tea for us on the beach in front of Cathedral Cove. Lots of fun! We'd do it again.

Wow, what a spectacular day out. Greeted on the beach by a big happy smile, an eager attitude and an excitement as if it was the first time he was doing the trip. The guide (Mark) had wonderful facts about the whole area including the fish, the rock markings and some awesome tantalizing kiwi legends. Saying this, he also allowed... More
