We really enjoyed our tour and even though we didn't get to see any whales, dolphins and other exotic animals we did spot some beautiful birds and lazy seals. Must do when visiting north island.

We booked our tour the day before as we wanted to check weather conditions. Would particularly recommend if the seas as calm. Check school holiday times as well as they would be busier.
