Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Anyone who loves military history will find plenty of artillery history there for many years. Everyone who cares about it will enjoy it very much

I knew that this place exists for long time but never set the time to visit. I was invited for a memorial ceremony last September. I was amazed to see the location, surrounded by lots of green trees and lawns with very nice view of the Mediterranean shore. There is a fabulous exhibition of artillery from early days of the state of Israel to recent days. The place includes artillery history research center and of course a very dignified memorial monument in honor of the fallen artillery soldiers.

Really interesting historic canons, and a moving memorial to those who fell for the country. It's great fun for kids to climb and clamber on the old canons. Best to visit when there are ceremonies.

I took a friend from the states to see the museum and I was appalled by the condition on the displays the fact that they are freshly painted doesn't hide the fact that they aren't preserved well and they will be picked clean by metal thieves . no one was in the office, no one on was on the grounds. A shame.
But on the up side this is the only place you can find such a collection of artillery in pne place in Israel.
A must see for the historical value

If you enjoy early military history and ingenuity, this is a walk back in early fighting to save the country. Very nostalgic walk in a pretty partk, good signage and photo opps for kids to climb on military equipment. The place is the site of a yearly memorial to fallen soldiers. The Zichron theater is also part of this park.

My boys (14, 10 and 6 years old) like to go to this place and to have a look to the artillery, howitzers and rocket launchers and to climb on them (which is possible).

If you like are a military history buff or just like tanks, old army weapons, open space and trees THIS is the place for you to visit. This park has many old artilery peices arranged for the young old and older crowd to climb and or just explore. This is a terrific place for parents with children of all age groups (but especially the young) who are looking for a free place to take their kids and have a really interesting time. The explanation of each peice is quite good but its also enough just to look and explore each peice to have a good time. It's free and open almost all year long. There is an adjacent local theatre which has plays for small children as well as adult theatre. A great outdoor museum that has something for everyone.

This is the main memorial for the Artillery Corps of the IDF and has a nice display of old Artillery pieces. If you are near by and like these kind of shows - it is a good 1 hour visit.

This is an open air park with a good variety of howitzers, mortars, rocket & missile systems, and supporting equipment. The park is overgrown, but it's free and the write ups of the different exhibits are decent. I saw a few pieces of equipment here that I haven't seen anywhere else, including the American and Russian field artillery museums. To me, the most interesting part was descriptions of how the Israelis incorporated captured equipment into their formations, and found ways to make due with limited amounts of captured ammunition. A visit will take thirty to forty minutes.

For the military history lover is is a must.
For former artillery troops it is a real must.
And for the Armor model builder it is a mecca that rivals Latrun.
A small museum that has open displays of IDF and captured Artillery pieces and support equipment. Some of the displays are over grown but it is still a great place to visit while in a beautiful town.. It's usually quiet and you must bring your camera..
