It was our pleasure to peruse through Thoreauly Antiques while visiting in Concord today. There is plenty to see in this little shop with books and clothing and jewelry, photos, frames, musical instruments and china among the many things on display. You are asked to use the hand sanitizer upon entering, and then keeping your mask on, you can walk around the store and look at all the items at a leisurely pace. I found a couple of books that I wanted and my wife found some items that she wanted. It is one of those shops that if you lived in the area, you would go back to time and again. The downtown area of Concord is a very pleasant place to shop and walk with food places and even a hardware store. We are glad to have experienced Thoreauly Antiques.

Again, it's a small store in Concord, but has a lot of interesting items, but over priced. Nothing antique to the area or historical, just stuff from the 50 and 60. Also, found some items and would have bought, but no noticeably haggling policy, nothing off the price when paid with a card, 10% when paid cash, this doesn't do it when the prices are 25-30% over priced to begin with. I guess not my loss, I saved a couple hundred bucks, I would have spent.

We met the owner when we were there and she was very nice and made us feel welcomed. The shop is well organized with no clutter. You can find glassware, art pottery, books, vintage jewelry, ceramics, pottery, wall art, furniture, small collectibles, toys, vintage clothes, chinese snuff jars and more. I walked out with a vintage ring that I fell in love with.

This shop continues to get better. The wide variety of items for sale can keep one mesmerized for hours. The new displays look terrific - they are now expanding into thrift shop territory, with great vintage clothing. The shop feels neat and organized, despite the extensive collection. The folks who sell their antiques there are friendly, entertaining, and always up for a good story.
