Popped into this used bookstore and was happy to have found it! It was behind some shops on Main Street and worth the visit. They have a great collection of older/used books and the prices are decent. What I loved about the store was they observed a strict COVID protocol. You can make an appointment to shop or (like we did) happen upon a free time. They allow small groups in on a walk-in basis if there is no one else in the store. Everyone must hand sanitizer once entered and you have a limit of 1/2 hour browsing time. I felt extremely safe here and did not feel rushed at all. The staff member (the owner’s sister) was quite helpful and traded book stories with me. A great visit!…

We had a very enjoyable time going through the Barrow Bookstore. It is just off one of the main roads in Concord. There is a nice selection of "slightly used" books, and I found myself looking at copy after copy of many books dealing with Boston, Concord and any number of other towns in New England. There are really old books, as well as some recent ones (Like those by David McCullough). We found the proprietor to be pleasant and friendly and enjoyable to talk to. As with every place during the pandemic, she first asked that we both use the hand sanitizer, then I asked for some specific books. She was very helpful in directing me to exactly the area I wanted with respect to the books I was interested in. We bought a couple of very small volumes that were very old and VERY inexpensive. We also bought a cute tea towel, as both my wife and I enjoy having tea together each day. I can definitely recommend the Barrow Bookstore as a very nice little place to spend some time and find a good book to curl up with on a cool New England evening!…

The staff member was especially friendly and volunteered a bit of history. Good selection of used books with decent prices. Local, independent bookstores are a dying breed. Worth supporting, I think.
