Lovely fortress on top of the hill with amazing views. There is still some mediaeval weaponry here and it is a fascinating place. You cannot go to the effort to come to Castelardo and not come look.

Really cute town with lovely restaurants and shops. The walk up to the castle is worth the view of the bay below.

Is a medieval castle on the top of the hill of Castelsardo, there is a small museum and a superb wiew of the Golfo and the down town.

As we rented a car on Sardinia, we could reach the top of the hill by car. Parking was rather difficult, as the hill is very steep. We climbed to the top and visited the castle. Very nice place and quiet to visit in June!

The castle itself is nice, with a museum showing local stuff. But the real reason to climb up here are the amazing views of the town of Castelsardo and the surrounding countryside. There are lots of nice cafes and restaurants on the way up or...More

A castle towering over an impressive bay. I recommend to climb up and go through the castle. We visited the unpaid part, but we were excited. Small aisles, beautiful views not only to the sea. Beauty!

I was honestly expecting a more genuine castle, as the village is already quite genuine, but the truth is that this castle has been renovated and that some parts look too modern and probably far away from the original. Something else is that I didn't...More

Well kept old castle, good for an evening walk, with a lot of green grass, kid-friendly for the most part, and has a working replica of a Trebuchet on display for history buffs. They didn't allow us to target the yachts at sea with it,...More

Its fine to climb there to see the county. At the buildings there is an exhibition of local traditions and some very average art.

It's worth visiting mostly because of the beautiful panoramic views, tiny streets and nice cafes and restaurants around. The Castello itself is not very impressive.
