I want sure what to expect; but it does look like an elephant. Lol; I only wonder when it’s trunk might fall off. Definitely worth seeing.

Hannibal is known to have brought elephants from Africa to Italy in Roman times..So it is quite startling to meet one of these giants nowadays. This rock really looks like a stony elephant. You can see still many more bizarre rock formations in Capo Testa.

Bit of a disappointment. Just an ugly rock on the side of the road. Difficult to stop and observe. Something you can do without... Check out the beaches instead!

The rock lies along the road without good parking. If you don't pass this place, no worries. You don't miss it.

That's all it is! We took a 2km detour to see this after seeing the signpost - we saw it about 12yr ago when we last visited Sardinia. It is pretty impressive - I prefer the distance view rather than close-up. If you're nearby I'd...More

Strange that a stone shaped like an elephant should be high up on the things to see nut it is truly impressive. This becomes more fascinating when you get closer and it seems to have been some ancient tomb, with small holes for bodies visible....More

Currently the road is closed just after the rock, so you arrive and have to U-turn. Thermocouple is just on the left side, and it is impressive. Also the valley downstairs is a good view, moon- kind. Definitely worth the short detour.

This rock is a must see! And you can take really nice photos there. Only parking is a little bit difficult because you must leave the car on the road...no parking

It’s a big stone. Looks like an elephant. That’s it. :) If you are in the area then it’s a nice short stop for a photo. But don’t drive more then 50km for it.
