Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great morning spent canoeing the Sorgue. Fun time spent with family on a shady and beautiful river. Be prepared to work as a team with your canoe-mate and perhaps to get a little wet! There are a few surprises along the way but all good fun and the leaders were great and very safety conscious. Don’t hesitate to book this day out.

Absolutely brilliant experience. I love kayaking so had expectations on safety and organisation and they were exceeded. Very well organised, good quality equipment, friendly English speaking staff and very family friendly. Our 7 year old had a fantastic first experience on the water.
The river is stunning and refreshing. There are a couple of fun surprises (safe but fun!).
Highly recommend for families, friends and couples alike, experienced paddlers and newbies will love this.

Easy booking and very helpful and welcoming staff for English speakers. Staff were professional, organized and focused on safety. Good demonstration prior to start (separate for English) and lots of care loading all canoes and groups into the water. Great support at the shoots where the water level changes- we would not have wanted to try this on our own. Staff supported throughout the 2 hr journey with stops for swimming and floating in the rapids. Even though we were the only English speakers in this tour, staff connected with us throughout. Highly recommended!

My husband and 2 teenage daughters went on a 3 person Kayak and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It may seem obvious but try to wear clothes that you don't mind getting wet and shoes are a must as if you do need to get out of the boat, its a little rocky but again, they will get wet even staying in the boat.
I note the previous review re Covid-19 precautions and would slightly agree, as whilst the briefing was happening, people weren't really keeping distanced from one another and were asked to crowd around the person giving the briefing, although this does take place outside. However, on the return bus journey, EVERYONE was made to wear a mask, and did so without argument.
Not sure if they specify a minimum age, although I would say maybe better for ages 8 and above if in a boat with a parent, although if in a boat on their own, an 8 year old would struggle and I would say age 11 and above.

As far as river canoeing is concerned this was OK. A pretty route but a bit short. Canoeists were put into rather large groups which resulted in much waiting around.
What was concerning was the transport back from the end of the trip to the base.
Everyone herded into buses with an instruction to wear masks. Few did!!
What made matters worse was when the girl driving the bus cranked up the volume of the music and all joined in with great enthusiasm and many reming their masks in order to sing louder.
If we were not still in the midst of a pandemic this would be great. As it was it was completely irresponsible.

As a family we went in canoe evasion and it was the best experience ever even for someone that was apprehensive about it. Will go back for more!

Canoe Evasion did an incredible job accommodating and guiding our group of 35 through the clear refreshing spring waters of the Sourge. We would all do it again. I would totally recommend making this stop for a couple of hours when you are near Fontaine de Vaucluse or Isle Sur la Sorgue!

Really nice organisation with lots of space for parking your car when you arrive, a nice wait by a café, young energetic staff with a lot of humour. Safety was key. Relaxed attitude throughout.
The canoe itself is very easy and the ride is just what you need for a family: calm with some very small thrils on the way.
The return in the van with loud music really completes the fun.

We set off at 11 on a really hot morning after Max & Morgan gave us the safety briefing. A gentle meander down the river with some lovely features (a weir and short rapids) made it a thoroughly enjoyable 2 hrs. The river was clean and beautiful, the overhanging trees and scenery along the way made for a great family outing. The music and fun on the bus back was a nice ending! Well done guys and thank you

Great company. Over the summer, you have to book a few days in advance as it is really busy. A departure every 30 minutes so you get a lot of choices. They allocate 2 hours for the descent. The personnel is so friendly. They brief you before departing, give you a life jacket and a big or small water of roof container for your belonging. You go down the Sorgues river with two guides, one at the front and one at the back of the group. You stop once for rest/ snack or a swim in a 13 degree water. I went in chest deep , came out anaestheticed! The surrounding is beautiful, serene, calm, the river flows gently and is crystal clear. You get a lot of shades from the trees and the air is cool so you don’t feel the 33 degree heat . You go back to base on their coach or mininubus. We had lunch at their base where a shack serves burgers, salads and fries, drinks all good and cheap. Kids under 4
Don’t pay and adults is €20. Really good day.
