Amazing Cove
Jul 2021
One of the best beach’s in Hawaii. Great cove with some of the most beautiful blue water.

Parking can be a challenge and may need to park a ways up the hill. They have a bathroom and showers.

the most beautiful beach ever!
Jul 2021 • Couples
I loved this beach so much that I made my husband come back here before our trip was over. Soft, white sand, crystal clear water, beautiful blue hues, in contrast with the black lava rocks make this the most beautiful beach Ive ever been to in my life (so far!). Parking could be better, but we came during weekdays at around 8:30 AM and both times could park fairly easily. There were already some people, but we easily found a secluded area to just relax. There is no shade like others have mentioned, so bring a beach umbrella if you can, or if you come on a oartly cloudy day that helps too. I know Hapuna Beach is top rated, but in my eyes Kua Bay should be up there!

Beautiful beach!
Jun 2021 • Family
Beautiful beach: clear water; white sand; snorkeling; bathrooms; outdoor showers. What more can one ask for? More parking would be nice!

Pretty place and very popular
Jun 2021
This is a very pretty beach. It gets really crowded. It gets difficult to find any shade. One of the better sandy beaches on the island.

Very Nice, Relaxing Beach
Mar 2021 • Family
What a wonderful find this beach was. The beautiful clear blue water and the white sand made this a perfect place to swim and just relax. I imagine that once tourism comes completely back, this beach will get super crowded taking a little away from the experience. The parking is limited and the sun can be quite bright and hot, so I suggest going early, or perhaps later in the day when sun-lovers have gotten their fill. The times we went were not too crowded and there was plenty of space on the white sand. It’s a great place to read, take a nap and just relax while those that love the water have an excellent place to swim.

Best Beach????
Mar 2021
Please believe what most people say, this is the best beach on the island, then the real best beaches will be empty. Don’t get me wrong, this is a pretty beach, but we found it way too crowded for our liking. Very easy to get to. You can drive right up to the parking area, in a normal car. No 4-wheel necessary. Then it’s less than a minute walk to sand. Like I said, it was pretty crowded when we went, Tuesday, March 16th. There was plenty of parking, but not many places to set up camp, on the beach. Great waves!!

Walking onto and into this beach is like entering heaven on earth!

The waves are fantastic, the life guards provide updates as needed, there is plenty of room for everyone, the sand is like talcum powder, and that they have hot water showers for after-ocean playing is awesome!

A lovely tucked away beach
Feb 2021
There is about a 20 minute walk to this beach, but it was beautiful and we got to see sea turtles out swimming and sunning themselves on the rocks. The water was lovely.

Gorgeous Color
Feb 2021 • Couples
Dropping down into this bay from the Highway presents you with a picture perfect turquoise cove. Nice parking lot, restrooms and remarkable sand. Exposed to the surf, not the best for snorkeling, better for boogie boarding and a quick dip. Windy the day we visited, will definitely go back and spend another day
