We bought the package to visit all of the Nature Institute attractions so we made our way over to the Insectarium and we enjoyed it. There were lots of interesting information about bugs and insects. The butterfly garden made the entire thing! It was so...More

This place was absolutely amazing! I could've stayed an extra hour by going slower through each of the rooms and looking at EVERYTHING. So educational. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly volunteers throughout.

Loved the butterfly garden ... and don't miss the moth area, those are amazing too. Got to try some bug food, which was much better than I expected. I would eat the cinnamon sugar ones any day.

What a cool place! You will see things not seen anywhere else (unless you live in the jungle). Best exhibit was the butterfly room where they will land on your head.

Overall this place needs a facelift. Everything was old and dirty and smelly. I enjoyed seeing the butterflies but have been to nicer butterfly centers.

Convenient and close to nearby casino and shopping. I suggest buying a pass to include the aquarium which is right down the road. The insectarium section is much larger than the room for the butterflies. We were a little underwhelmed with the amount of butterflies....More

Really fun experience here. It's mainly meant for younger children but it also was interesting for an adult to walk around and learn about the bugs and they even had a few on display that you could hold in your hand. This is a great...More

My wife loves bugs. She should have been an entomologist. We have a library of insect and butterfly books. She released more than 120 monarch butterflys this year, so she thought it was heaven. I loved it also. It was a special surprise in a...More

I wish there were more opportunities to touch some of the bugs. I saw pics online of huge beetles on people's hands but, there was no opportunity for that. They have a bug tasting, which we skipped. The butterfly house was lovely. The movie was...More

Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title

little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be

The host of our AirBnB allowed us to use her resident guest passes so we did not have to pay anything. Two adults, and 1 teenager.
