This vintage oriental themed centre was unexpectedly the highlight of our yilan trip. It has shops selling unique souvenirs which we tend not to see in Taipei, and also interesting performances held at different timing. This is along one of the recommended cycling paths.

Lots of great stalls of different crafts and craftsman teaching amazing workshops - DIY leather works, pottery, tie dye etc etc. There are beautifully handmade items for sale too. As well as great coffee stops and tea ceremonies. Can easily spend a whole day here.

A place to learn about Taiwan cultural and products including herbal soap, jade carvings, wax decos, etc. Two cultural shows and also some hands-on workshop like cloth dyeing. Great educational getaway.

We spend a good half a day and more doing crafts. Kids and adults love them. People there are so friendly sharing their love and passion for their crafts.

An interesting collection of places selling traditional arts. some places do live demonstrations and there are various eating options too. If it's a wet day (as when I was there) there's not a lot of shelter from the rain when moving from building to building....More

What makes the Visitor Center great is the museum quality of the artifacts that are on display. I was in awe of their beauty. The street reproduction is delightful with attention to detail. This was a very delightful surprise.
