Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Located on Pemuteran beach, part of the Reef Seen Divers Resort. Open between 8am and 5pm, they charge a INR 40,000 entry fee but that allows you to come back anytime over 7 days.

They pay local fishermen to identify recent nesting sites before they are disturbed or predators get to them. They are then incubated and when they hatch out they are put in small tanks until they are large enough to release into the ocean. They have a thirteen year old Hawksbill Turtle, Buddy, who was raised domestically and has never learnt how to fend for himself in the wild - at least he will be cared by people who love him. He loves any attention.

They also let you watch the turtles being fed at 4pm daily.

It is only a small hatchery but worth visiting Pemuteran.

You pay 40.000 ruhpia for entrance and with that you support a good initiatief. There is only 1 bassin with around 50 baby turtles at the time we were there, and 1 bassin with a huge turtle. Net morning we released 1 baby turtle for 100k. They are doing a good job, so lets help them

My teenage daughter wanted to check out the work done here so we went. Even though the place was small, we must commend the efforts that the staff have put in to maintain this place. It was educational for my child and I. We learned that they had to buy turtle eggs from fishermen, which would have been eaten or sold. There was a 16 year old turtle there which could not be freed because it was reared by humans since young and only recently given up. As we were there at 11am, we could not help to release a small turtle as they did this only earlier in the morning. However, we find that even though we paid a small visitation fee, we were happy to do so as the money went into helping the conservation and rehabilitation of turtles that had been going on for many years now.

Pleasant and nice place in Pemuteran :) The entry donate is 40k IDR per person and the ticket is valid for 1 week - look at the turtles - you can walk every day! :) it is 27 years old Santuary for breeding and releasing turtles. They take care of the whole process from bringing eggs to safety to releasing them back into nature :)
the care of the animals entrusted is of a high standard. Beautiful experience.

We recommend to visit!

Ok to be clear they told us that the young turtle are too young to be released in liberty that I found very nice ! The team doesn't such like all other to get money over all ! Nice place to go and ok about 25 minutes but you can go there 3 times in a week and please ask question to the team !

We enjoyed talking to the young man here and seeing all the babies swim about. As others have noted there’s not a lot to see or do, but it’s nice to be able to support a local initiative that’s trying to protect Bali’s fragile environment.

We were participating in a 4Ocean cleanup at the local beach and was invited to tour the Turtle Project. It was very educational and they are doing great work ensuring that the many turtle species in Bali survive and thrive. We were invited to release 25 turtles into the ocean and enjoyed that tremendously.

Keep up the great work....
