We love driving through the national park. we always can see some form of wildlife. It does require patience and some good brakes, as there may be some stop and go driving based on traffic, weather, wildlife, etc. Great stops and scenery throughout the drive.

The car park was busy as it was a clear day. The views were average in my opinion. If in the area give it a go.

The views are astonishing. The best car ride in the Smokies. Highly recommend, especially in the fall.

...take the Appalachian Trail to the North. It is a bit steep at the beginning but then eases off a bit. Nice views to the east along the way - walk as far as you like before coming back.

Great views, We found fog hanging in the values below us. Great color display at this altitude. But get here by 10 AM or you might not find a parking place!

About 45 minutes. It really depends on the traffic and how many times you stop along the way to take in the views of the mountains.
