The famous scene in Forrest Gump was filmed here, but the bench is no longer here. That said, it's a nice little park, in a city filled with these squares/parks. Creates a nice little community vibe around the square with local shops nearby
Yes this is the "famous" bench scene square from Forrest Gump, and if you look up the scene online you can readily figure out where to stand to take a photo (the bench is not there... it is in the Visitor Center)... but the square...More

We love all the beautiful and historic squares which give Savannah such form and organization. The live oaks with Spanish moss blowing in the breeze is so romantic, while providing shade! Great place to sit a while and take in the beauty.
