Toured this after going to Fort Necessity. We really enjoyed all the information provided. It would be great if they had someone at The Tavern to answer questions and provide more info, however we still enjoyed it tremendously.

Very unique place to have a glimpse of life over a century ago! Rooms are set up as it would've been were you a traveler back then.

House smelled strongly of mld and rooms were all behind glass. Stop when at the Fort but don't plan to linger.

This site is a steep hike from Fort Necessity, but you can drive to this site separately. It was good to see the accommodations of the period's patrons.

Although I've visited Fort Necessity a number of times, this was my first visit to the Tavern. The building is in good condition, and has several rooms furnished reflecting it's days as a traveler's rest. Very interesting for history buffs, maybe not so much for...More
