Only one of the most beautiful libraries in the world, not just in the city of Baltimore or in the U.S. Nothing outside prepares you for what you'll see on the inside. In addition to the spectacular library, also be sure to see the grand...More

If you’re lucky you can sit down and absorb the silence of all the books. Look closely and discover the nuggets.

The historic George Peabody Library is breathtakingly beautiful! The current map exhibit (through mid March 2019) contains fascinating maps of early Baltimore and the Chesapeake Bay area. A must see!

It was a wonderful building from the outside. We got to the lobby and was turned back because on weekend nights they have fundraisers and Galas. It closes early for these events. It's free. Call to see if you can get in the Library.

This library is gorgeous! They have free Peabody music performances in the main area sometimes, I highly suggest attending one. But go early if you do, the space fills up fast and you will get turned away. Amazing experience.

We stopped by due to it being a famous library. Very historic with lots of old books. Very cool seeing it in person. The upper floors are off limits to public. Some neat history just outside the entrance.
