Museum is thought-provoking, easy to view and a do-able size. Nice restaurant at top, and the shop is great for browsing. Have been here several times.

My husband and I loved this museum! It's so unusual! We did get discount discount tickets, I believe from the visitor's center. You won't find famous artwork here, but will find many unique pieces with quite a bit by local artists. The theme while we...More

This was our second visit to this extraordinary museum. Our first was on a trip 5 years ago and we remembered it with great fondness. We especially loved the fabric stories created by Holocaust survivor, Esther Krinitz. The museum also has a great gift shop.

This is a fun museum with an eclectic mix of artworks. Most of it is recent and most of the artists represented are self taught. Make sure you pay at the main building and visit the two other buildings and see the outdoor statues.

Baltimore's other museums are free. Not this one. Unless you're into this kind of art I would avoid it.

Museum had lots of features to attract kids. However, there were violent paintings (people shot and dying in blood). A lift the lid Victorian dollhouse with a murdered family inside. Nudity, guns, vaginal bleeding sculptures. Unexpected and horrifying experience for children.

This is a clever twist on how to display sort of outsider art. Fun building design and creative collection of unusual art that makes you think, smile and widens your appreciation of how others interpret their visions into physical appreciations or other emotions. We stop...More

This is not your typical art museum. All of the artists are self-taught and have a story. The museum has a theme, and then some standing exhibits. The theme right now was parenting. Some of the stories were incredible - sad, overcoming, unbelievable.... but set...More

I did not see anything specifically kid directed but I do think that this is a good museum for kids because the offerings are so visually interesting and everything has a story.
