I have sung the National Anthem at a large variety of events, and have often heard the flag-folding story about how Francis Scott Key, watching the British bombardment of Fort McHenry during the War of 1812 was inspired to pen the poem that later became...More

History buffs could spend a lot of time here. Well maintained. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Regular events. A little out of the way, and the entrance path is very long.

A moment in history captured. There is a short film played inside about Francis Scott Key and the events surrounding the writing of the Star Spangled Banner. Beautiful view of the harbor.

Great place to view the fire works, camp out with friends and family. Take a picnic basket or food along with some lounge chairs and have a great time. We did!!

This was an enjoyable tour of a landmark crucial to American history. One of the best parts is the reveal at the end of the video presentation in the visitor center.
