We took our two kids, ages 9 and 11, to the Maryland Science Center on a rainy afternoon. They were completely absorbed by all the hands-on activities. Even my 11 year old, who usually has a short attention span for any sort of museum, couldn’t...More

Really awesome place for young kids. There is no immediate parking for the facility, you'll have to use a parking garage or metered parking. We ended up watching two planetarium shows one was dud for kids however the Sesame Street one got their attention. I...More

Like many Baltimore family-friendly attractions, the membership is worthwhile if you plan to visit at least twice in a year. Always something new to see and do for all ages.

We enjoyed our last-minute visit to the Science Center. Parking was tricky to find but we figured out that they validate nearby garage parking. They have a coat room, which was nice, especially because we had wet umbrellas. The employee at the front desk was...More

This Center caters to children because they have a large area of hands on activities. They didn't have many films or planetarium shows.

I had a couple of hours left before I headed for Dulles Airport so visited Maryland Science Centre in Baltimore. Lots of science stuff for kids and big kids like me (grandma age). The highlight was a real bed of nails to try out, surprisingly...More

Lots of hands on exhibitions and plenty of staff around to enhance the experience. We brought an 8-year-old and some of it seemed overly simple----but he loved being there.

Went with my 6 and 9 year old boys. It was a fantastic experience. We were there from open to close and maybe could have been there longer. Really enjoyed Newton's alley and the planetarium. Another unexpected highlight was the individual carts that were in...More

Interactivity is what this museum is all about. Great science, well presented, this is a good half day activity for families, large groups or singles of any age.

I had been to Baltimore so many times and I finally went into this place. Some may find it disappointing as there are things you can see at other museums, but I thought that it was good. I enjoyed the IMAX movie about the National...More

I went with 2 adults and 1 child and we all enjoyed it. It comes down to how invested are you in participating in all the offerings. I did it all and loved it as much as my 12 year old. There is plenty for adults to do and... More

My kids were 7 and 10 when we went and they both had fun. I didn't find this science center to be as interactive as others that we have been to around the country but the kids still enjoyed it. Unless your boys are very... More
