I wouldn't call this a tourist attraction. It is a very old market and I appreciate it's history. There are a number of vendors with fresh fish/seafood, meats, sandwiches, baked goods, etc. I did see two security staff inside the building and felt reasonably safe...More

Lexington market is a nice place to grab local inexpensive food. The hours are 9-6, so make sure you get there if planning to grab dinner. There is no where to sit down but you can stand at tables provided. Look forward to visiting again.

Interesting experience ... kind of like a giant food court. We hit Faidley's Seafood for crabcakes ... best in B-more.

I recently moved to Baltimore, and actually live within a few blocks of Lexington Market. I visited for the first time today. I wanted to write a review because I think some of the reviews here on Tripadvisor are unfair to the neighborhood and the...More

Plenty of things to eat and lots of stop shops. Lots of friendly people in the market walking around. Overall great experience

I went there because I thought it was "the place" to go in Baltimore. it's outdated, overrated, dirty, dimly lit, the food stalls didn't look inviting at all---greasy dried up foods. Yuk! Four security guards and three Baltimore police officers standing out front made me...More

You need something more to be called " World famous market". Lexington market is a cozy place in Baltimore full of food seller but it's not absolutely as descripted in tourists guides. It's dirty and dark, most of the windows show Asian food, bad kind...More

Chaos surrounding the building with vagrants, loiterers and traffic. Inside is dreary and dark. Lots of food vendors but little or no place to eat inside...some standing only tables in a couple of places. Not as clean as I would expect since food is being...More

It’s Baltimore’s Reading Market in concept, but less inviting. Still, the crab cakes are worth the trip.

This place was very interesting. We went because we saw in on the Zimmer List. We arrived on a Saturday morning. There was a live band playing music from the 80s and Go Go music. People were dancing and eating at standup tables. The place...More

There's one called Faidley's at the back of the Lexington Market. It's the best crabcake ever, but I don't know about crab legs. Why not' search them on goggle or e-mail them and ask. Hope this helps.
