Remarkable military park with excellent informative locations. Large number of memorials add to the interest. I hired a guide for a couple of hours which I highly recommend.

The National Military Park is best experienced with a tour guide who can take you through each of the three days of the historic battle at Gettysburg and point out many landmarks that you would otherwise miss. I highly recommend visiting the park.

The park us so well maintained. Very informative. Clear directions. Paths and grounds free of trash. We explored so much and enjoyed some hiking. Great place.

Allow at least a full day to take the Park in. We started with the movie and Cyclorama, which refreshed our memories from what was learned in school. We took the bus tour and George was our driver. He was great. Our tour guide was...More

Picturesque battlefield with numerous monuments to explore. Recommend multiple hours for exploration with prime quiet visiting time near sunrise. Visitors Center provides excellent context, particularly with the Cyclorama painting. Located surrounding a charming, "living" small town with shops and restaurants.

There is so much to see. We did the self guided auto tour and it took us most of the day to see everything, but it was interesting to walk the grounds and see things from the soldiers point of view.

My wife and I toured a few military parks- Gettysburg, Antietum, Manassas, and Chattanooga- on a vacation to trace some of her ancestry. The information that Gettysburg supplied gave a great description of the battle as we traveled through the park. My wife found an...More

We picked up an audio guide and did the auto tour of the battlefield. I highly recommend doing that. The audio guide took us through the entire battle from start to finish as you drove through the stops. It really helped the kids understand and...More

We did the audio tour of the Battlefield and we had serious civil war people in our group and took A day and a half to do the battlefield tour. If you are just a ride through type of visitor you might be able to do both.
