Hard to believe how numbly we engaged this battle in high school American History class because in our elder years we found the place and battle strategy fascinating! A don't miss it opportunity.

We took a private guided tour. Stuart Demsey, was phenomenal. He drove our car and toured us around the park for three hours, stopping and giving us the history of the 3 day battle in Gettysburg. We asked lots of questions and Stuart is a...More

We've made many visits to Gettysburg, but this one was at a very leisurely pace. The guides suggest 2 hours for the self-driving tour. We spent 9 hours investigating every monument, statue, tower, and battlefield to my husband's delight. If this isn't your kind of...More

It is remarkable to me how many people do not take the time to visit Gettysburg, or any other such venue, to learn about the history of what/who/how made this Country. To visit the Gettysburgh National Military Park is an awe inspiring experience where you...More

This was amazing as well. So much history to see. We took 3 full days to learn and absorb what had happened on these hallowed grounds.

I've been to Gettysburg many many times, just spent a week there beginning of Oct 2018 and spent every day in the battlefields, and still have not seen them all. The one way roads do make it a little challenging, having to circle around alot,...More

The main attraction is a large painting that fills a room at the top of the visitor's center. The film is a little depressing - not suggesting that the subject wouldn't be. Not sure this is a good stop for kids. All the exhibits and...More
