The Old St Mary’s Church is located in the Society Hill district of Philadelphia, a few blocks behind Independence Hall. This is defiantly worth a walk to visit. Lots of history within.

I went to Sunday Mass and afterwards enjoyed looking around the church and adjacent historic cemetery, reading the plaques which describe the association with the history of our country. Convenient location, easy to add to your walking tour.

Old St Mary's cannot be accessed aside from Mass, but it's still worth peeking through the doors. The stained glass windows are exceptional, especially the one over the altar. The cemetery in the back is the final resting place of Commodore John Barry.
