Old synagogue - orthodox, but wit lots of twists; knocked on door to get in - very friendly people - also tied in with American Jewish Museum - only took maybe 15 minutes - well worth it.

Though I'm not Sepharadic, I felt most welcome by the congregants and was even welcomed personally by the Rabbi, though I was in the adjacent women's section. Do stay for the delicious meal and take a look around as there are many relics worth reading...More

This is the synagogue of the oldest congregation in America dating back to the mid 1600's. It's small but full of wonderful, welcoming people. It's literally on Independence Mall. How many places can say that?
