We took a cruise around the island and we had an architect presenting the skyline. It was interesting, really worth the tour departing from Chelsea peers.

Booked a trip on a helicopter. We had the doors off experience. Save time and money and book one. You see all of Manhattan in one trip including all the major sights. Wish i had did this years ago.

The restaurant rotates 360 degrees per hour and allows a view of the Hudson river, and the skyline of NYC. A really nice experience and good food and service!

A cheap (free) way to view the skyline is from the Statten Island ferry. It runs every half hour, every day, all through the year. Magnificent skyline and a must-see!

We went in April. It was cold but lovely and sunny. I can imagine any part would be good in early October. We hired bikes and explored all over. Wish we were going again.
