My friend and I took our daughters to NYC for the weekend and seeing the skyline is always the best. Several ways to see it. So different from upstate NY. We ha a great trip.

You can really only see the skyline from the river. I managed to catch some great views of WTC and the financial district from the Staten Island Ferry one clear day. Ideal as it is a free service. A quick trip further up east of...More

The Manhattan skyline will invariably take your breath away. I have been visiting for over 40 years and it still has the same effect. Possibly best seen from Staten Island Ferry or one of the bridges, there are iconic buildings wherever you look. After darkness...More

There are numerous vantage points to view the Manhattan skyline, including the high level observation floors in several buildings. However, we enjoyed the views offered from Central Park and particularly enjoyed walking across the Brooklyn Bridge towards Manhattan in the early morning.

The only way to see this skyline is from the river. Tip: buy a hop-on 3 day bus pass for US$69 (Gray Line) which includes a river cruise up to the Statue of Liberty etc. which takes about 1 hour 15 minutes and is worth...More

From daylight to night time, the skyline is a beauty to see. The tall skyscrapers offer a feeling of being, while making you wonder how someone could engineer these large Magnificat buildings

Yes, there are other great skylines, including those in Hong Kong, Chicago, Shanghai, and even San Francisco, but they don't hold a candle to the Manhattan Skyline. The Manhattan skyline is a beautiful mix of early 20th to current 21st Century skyscrapers. It is also...More

Saw by doing two boat cruises. One during the day and one at sunset and night. A big highlight of the trip seeing this from a boat. Different perspective and also easier to take pictures. Took Circle Line on both boat tours and it was...More

This is what New York is about. The skyline especially at night. We have seen from the waterside as well as from the Rock. It is fantastic

We have all seen skyline pictures of Manhattan, but it looks different when you are there. It is awe inspiring! The architecture is unbelievable. It is a surreal experience when you are actually there.

We went in April. It was cold but lovely and sunny. I can imagine any part would be good in early October. We hired bikes and explored all over. Wish we were going again.
