The NYC ferry is a great way to commute into the city, the views are great and it is inexpensive. We took the ferry from the Rockaways to Brooklyn Park. Ride took about 45 mins and the ride was smooth.

If you want to be waiting in line for over an hour watching boats depart without you, choose the Rockaway ferry. A great afternoon out making friends in the line. It took four boats until we were able to board.
