Top ways to experience Empire State Building
The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

    Stunning Views
I did both the 86th floor and the 102nd and I felt it was worth the extra money. The floor to ceiling windows allow you to see and take photos unobstructed by any aspect of the building itself which is great for panoramic shots. The museum is also pretty cool and informative. If you have the time then enjoy it before you go up. I didn’t see a way to go back to it when you come back down but you can ask to be sure.
Thank you for making the Empire State Building part of your stay in New York. We hope to see you next time you visit. Thank you for the review.

    Great total experience!
Informative and fun experience! The displays enhance the visit and give great context to the history and importance of the building in a fun and interactive way. Well organized admission process. Loved visiting in the late evening with Manhattan sparkling!
We are so happy you enjoyed the view. Thank you for choosing the Empire State Building!

    Awesome Views
Much quicker than we expected. Went about 1:30 on Thursday, May 25. We have been by there a few years ago and lines were LONG. So this time we ordered express passes. Wasn't any quicker than the regular pass, meaning there were nearly no lines. I think we got lucky. Went up to 102nd floor too, and I would recommend that. Spent a long time on both levels and really enjoyed the spectacular views. Went to Top of the Rock that night and it was PACKED.
We’re so happy to hear that you had a wonderful visit to the Empire State Building. Thank you for the review. Hope to be a part of your next visit to New York.

Iconic Building with Incredible Views of NYC
While walking back to our hotel, the iconic Empire State Building came into view. My lady told me she had never been to the top. The weather was perfect on this Memorial Day weekend so I took her to the top. Stunning views of all of NYC while the sun was setting!
Thank you for the wonderful review. We’re glad that you enjoyed your experience with us.

A definite highlight (every pun intended)
There was no queue at all when we visited on a Wednesday morning, 10 am, at the end of May. The staff were very friendly staff and the exhibits were varied and informative. We didn't do the express route but I'm told that it by-passes some of the exhibits and if that's true then it would be a strange choice except on a busy day. Viewing from the highest platform (102nd floor) is stunning and well worth the extra fee but you are behind glass whereas the original platform is open-air (with railings, of course). The highest floor is less crowded but there is more room to move around and admire the views on the 86th floor platform. The shop has a good selection of souvenirs at reasonable prices.
Thank you for making the Empire State Building part of your New York experience. We hope to see you again.

    THE skyscraper
If you go to New York, go into and to the top (86th floor is sufficient) of the Empire State Building. It’s the most iconic building in New York, and has been since 1931. I haven’t been for 11 years, so the history and additional feature before you ascend is a definite bonus. The views uptown and downtown are, as expected, amazing. Visiting this iconic Art Deco gem is a must.
Thank you so much for the wonderful review. Glad to hear you enjoyed the experience with us.

    86th and 102nd Floors
This experience was amazing not only for the amazing view but meeting Gordon who worked on the 102nd floor. Gordon made this experience 1000% better, he pointed out all the amazing buildings and amazing facts about the city! He also shared his story of where he was during 9/11. Gordon is a Guardian Angel, a Hero and very passionate about his city. ❤️
Thank you for the wonderful review and nice words about Gordon. We will be sure to pass your message along.

Great exhibits, views and crowd control
I took my wife, sister-in-law and her two kids under 4 and it was fantastic. The timed entry made sure there weren't huge crowds. The walk through the initial exhibits spread people out and was really interesting. And of course the views were incredible. We sprung for the 102nd floor and it was worth it.
Happy to hear that your party had a great time with us. Hope to see you soon. Thank you for the review.

    Great visit
I took one star off because it is so expensive - but this is a must-see in NYC for tourists. I grew up in NY and hadn't been here before (age 62) so I was happy to finally see this in person. You learn about the history of the city and the building before going up to the observation decks and getting amazing views.
Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed our museum and gallery just as much as the view.

    Impressive
I’ve been living in the US for 35 years and have only been to the Empire State Building once. This year! It’s amazing! And the State Bar and Grill meal that came with the package was so yummy. The best calamari I’ve had ever! The wildfires messed it up because we could not see the Statue of Liberty. At least we had the buildings in front of us. It was a great experience!

My children and my friend’s son wanted to come to NYC to see the top of the Empire State Building so we decided to go for it! Needless to say it was one amazing experience! One of the managers Kevin helped expedite an issue we had in the beginning when we first got there. He was extremely helpful and very professional and took care of everything in a timely manner. He was also so nice and went above and beyond. I highly recommend coming to see the Empire State Building. First time for us and it was definitely worth the trip!

Found this excellent. This was my first visit and my partner came about 15 years ago so was great to hear about the changes. Firstly the staff are excellent, professional and friendly. The pictures tell a real story, loved the art work and the interactive elements are fun and superbly done. We spent around 45 minutes in this section. We're had a very clear day so the views are excellent when you get to the 86th floor. It is busy and you have to take turns in trying to get your pictures but that is too be expected. Worth a visit

It is insane to be standing out side 88 floors up in the sky. Better off being on the ground. Better off sitting on one of the double decker buses and enjoy the city. Being up in a building makes no sense.

Well organized, no waiting, interesting pictures, movie clips in the museum. Had great views even with rainy weather. We even bought 2 photos they took with different views of the building. Even better than my imagination. Great staff.

Loved visiting here. Loved the attractions inside the building, very well organised.
My daughter had a bad experience with one of the staff as she was wearing a boot on her ankle & she asked if there was somewhere to sit & his reply was “are you a pirate?? What you going to do? Hop there? She didn’t appreciate that.

Amazing panoramic views

Did not expect it to be as good as it was with little snippets of the workers building it.

The interactive lifts and the views up the top were brilliant. Little drink and snack stall at the top the guy was very friendly and very well priced. We took the stairs the last 4 flights (wasn’t told each flight had 3 sets of stairs I thought I was going to pass out and I’m not unfit!! So wait for the list guys don’t make the same mistake lol.
