Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Easy access and parking right off route 191 heading north to Moab. Short climbing hike up to arch with some minor steep rock scrambling near the top ...
Great opportunity to gain access up to and and below an arch ... no fee at this BLM site

This formation is just a few miles down the road from main street Moab. Lots of parking along the side of the road, and it is a really pretty geological formation with smaller crowds. Best views are at sunrise and sunset!

I loved this arch. It is right by the road, an easy walk out to it, which we didn't do. You really don't need to, you can stay in your car if you want. It is huge! and free, being right next to rt 191 outisde of Moab at a roadside scenic pull off. You can't miss it driving past. It's right there! Great photo ops if you walk out there. A girl was out there doing dance poses. Too cute.
(You need more choices on the "who was with you" spot below. There are families without kids who are not couples. I was there on a girls trip with my cousin, so ended up choicing "friends", which we are, too.)

Very pretty!! My two kids were terrified as there aren’t easy trails to get up to the arch. I loved it and took bridals by the arch that turned out stunning. I wouldn’t visit this one with young kids unless they aren’t afraid of heights or steep climbs. I was surprised my 6 year old was so scared, it was easy/fun for me but I could see how it would be scary for young ones. Also please don’t write in the stone with rocks. Leave no trace 🖤

You pass Wilson Arch heading to Moab from the south. It is along the highway and offers space to pull off safely. You can hike from the pull off area to the arch or photograph it from a distance. It really is a nice example of the arch rock formation that you can enjoy without the crowds of the national park. There is a nice informational sign at the pull off area. There is no fee involved in enjoying Wilson's Arch.

Nice place for a stop on the route south from Arches. Nice stop to see a arch without having to technically drive into Arches National Park. Huge arch and nice pull off to view from.

In an area with so much scenery it is still fun to stop and climb up to the arch. Be sure to have some water ready when you get down it is a hot climb, Although the breeze is usually blowing through the arch when you get up there. We stop every time when out in the area on vacation.

We had a great time visiting and climbing Wilson's Arch. It is a difficult climb, but we did it with our pup. Other visitors were cheerful and friendly. Easy parking and access. Arch is beautiful. Great views. Would definitely recommend and do again.

After leaving Moab on our way out of town in direction of Cortez, Colorado, we came across this huge arch by the side of the road. Independent of Arches National Park, Wilson Arch is one that anyone can visit without charge. Sure, it lacks the seclusion of the wonderful arches throughout the national park, and the major highway is in view. But it’s undeniably one of the most impressive arches in the area, and if you can make it up the steep hill, the opportunity for pictures without crowds is sublime.

It’s a quick pull off right on Hwy 191 . Never very crowded , if u daré to do the 10 minute climb up to the bottom of the arch n the view is well worth it.

I will be driving from Monticello to Moab. How far out of Monticello is Wilson's Arch?

Looks like you have the info you need. Enjoy. It is so convenient that it's worth the stop and short (but a bit steep) hike to reach the arch.

How far and strenuous is the walk from the parking area to the arch? Could someone elderly do it? I have a group 70-80 year olds, some with hip problems. We'd love to do a group photo under the arch but I'm not sure if they could make it.

Agree with CDGT Trips above. It's not a far walk but potential hazards do exist especially for the elderly.
