The San Francisco Dungeon is NOT your usual visitor attraction! We're an exciting mix of 9 live actor shows, 200 years of history, 360° sets, 1 dark boat ride and authentic storytelling. Being scared has never been more fun. Our unique take on history has made us one of Europe's best-loved visitor attractions. But now, for the first time, we have arrived in the USA! San Francisco is the perfect venue; filled with history, intrigue and colorful characters.

Loved this dungeon! Personally I did enjoy the London Dungeon better as I have been there multiple times but this was still very interesting. My favorite bit was when we were inside Alcatraz prison with the strobe lights. Actors were top notch, I got a bag at the souvenirs, overall a great experience.

Dungeon visits are always silly fun, not scary for most, but one lady on our tour jumped and screamed at all the frights which was highly entertaining. It's like a humourous, dark history tour of San Francisco. Be prepared to be called on to particapate, it's all in good fun.
Good way to spend 1 and half. Very close to the pier and surrounded by shops.
The actors are excelllant as well.

Fun and not too scary. Good story. Be prepared to be part of the action (just need to have a sense of humor). Really liked the wax museum as well.

It really was entertaining and we were pleasantly surprised on not only the various sets but we found the actors immersed in their roles. It a far larger tour than expected. Our grandsons loved it (12 & 14) as well as we did. We noticed too that the rest of our group also enjoyed this experience.

Arrived to be told it was closed & I'd be contacted & refunded by the manager - 1 month later they're still ignoring my emails even though they were supposed to contact me to issue a refund. I paid for this attraction months in advance and was so excited to see it. Fair enough, it was closed and may have been unforeseen (the colleague didn't seem to give much information on it or care) but to then be trusting in the company to contact me and refund me my money and that not happen - you should be ashamed of just stealing people's hard earned money. As a company, as a business your ethical standards are rock bottom.

Anyone who gives this experience a bad review is missing the point. This tells the story of San Francisco in a very entertaining way. The actors are funny and engaging. I loved it and am now taking my teens to it so that they can be "Shanghai'd" ... LOL

I thought the dungeon was awesome! I had never went to one of these before! The actors were great and funny ! I Just want to say thanks to the handsome guy sitting next to me for making me feel safe! 😂

A must stop for anyone visiting San Francisco. Learn the history of The city. Performances by local actors and actresses. Fun and Entertaining! I have been there 3 times and will definitely go back. Thank you for the best entertainment.

Was a bit disappointed with this attraction. Having been to London Dungeons several times I had high hopes for this one. This was not to be. Tour was disjointed and difficult to hear the presentation at times. The drop ride at the end was also an anticlimax.

We got a Groupon to visit the Dungeon. All 4 of us including a 10 year old and 12 year old really enjoyed it. It was a bit scary but nothing that wasn’t on a “scary fun” level. The experience runs every 30 minutes and wasn’t crowded on a Monday. It was totally in the spirit of Halloween so it was especially fun to visit in October. Recommended for tourists and locals.

No - not really and there is quite a bit of sitting. You basically walk between sets.

Actually when we were there the ride had been broken for months, so we didn't even get to ride it.

We do offer alcohol during our Wicked Wednesday special event. The next one will be held on the 19th of August. It is a 21+ event. Check our website for times and advance tickets.
