Wife and I had a great time. Fun for all ages. You could easily spend all day here. There are so many hands-on exhibits with more on the way.

Fun science day for kids and geeky adults who love science (like me.) You can drink from a toilet--nice photo opp--and investigate all kinds of physics topics.

This museum was awesome, both for kids and adults! My 11 year old son hates to read, but he was entertained for hours on end. He loved all the interactive exhibits. My "sponge for knowledge" 13 year old daughter could have spent days there. It...More

You can spend a lot of time at the Exploratorium, but don't waste your time on any kind of presentations with the employees. I saw a "scientist", Julie Yu, showing a "genie bottle" trick which she never explained from the science point of view, as...More

I didn't know about this place until I came upon it while walking to Fisherman's Wharf. Don't remember how much it was but it's a great place to learn about a lot of subjects.

This was our second time. We enjoyed it so much the first time that we got a membership. So many things to see and do. Hands on exhibits all over. They even changed them in the two weeks in between our visits. There is something...More

Forget about the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, and Chinatown. The Exploratorium (After Dark) is the best thing SF has to offer by a wide margin!

Great museum for smart kids. Be aware that it's huge so plan a lot of time for it. We ran out of time and got kicked out at closing time. Also, it's very creative and innovative, but very crowded. A bit expensive.

Loved this hands on interactive museum and had to drag my teenage daughter out of it! It does get crowded so go early and it is mostly for children of all ages and those young at heart. Great interactive exhibits and demonstrations and on the...More

Definitely not. There’s lots to do and I’d recommend getting there as soon as it opens because it gets REALLY busy.

Hi Becka, While SFMoMA is a wonderful experience, it is a traditional museum experience, whereas the Exploratorium is all interactive/hands-on. Our 650+ exhibits are all meant to be touched and experimented with by visitors... More
