Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The tropical fish were just amazing and beautiful. Stunning!
I would recommend buying a snorkel set and just enjoy a day relaxing as you view the tropical fish in their natural habitat. It is very refreshing, safe, and calming.

This is a gorgeous beach with a nice sandy area to lay out as well as shaded areas for small children or babies. The water is breathtaking and stunningly gorgeous. There’s a lot of shells and pieces of coral. Would Definitely recommend water shoes. The snorkeling here is also very good and the water very clear. The parking is only open til 6 pm. Have been a couple times already this stay and planning a third.

I'm not a water person, but Ypao Beach park is a nice place to watch the ocean. Food and activities, other than swimming, are bring your own. Chronic dysfunctional restrooms which can be a bummer.

This is a good park to visit cause you have the beach and easy snorkeling, showers to rinse off, some shade because of the trees and a play park in the back ground for the younger kids

Right in the heart of hotel area, easy road, plenty of parking. Deep enough to swim even at low tide. Life guard! See pictures. I like morning, lots of shade and less crowded.

If you're looking for a relaxing day at the beach and a place to cool off with a swim in the ocean, Ypao is a great place to do it. The beach is clean and so is the water. And the water isn't even that cold. Perfect for swimming or just floating along. There is a pretty strong current though, so just keep that in mind while you're out swimming.

It is such a beautiful spot and one hears all of the "Keep Guam beautiful". My question is Why don't you? As a public beach is everybody's responsibility to keep it pristine.
Why is it necessary to trash the surroundings? Tje coral is so delicate and the fish so colorful and it is public. Pleaase community, help keep IPAO beach the beach the Visitor Bureau is talking about.

The nicest public beach in the busy Tumon area, it is well worth a visit. Great option for stand up paddle and snorkeling.

How much for the snorkeling equipment in Abc store Guam?
Cervantez
San Diego, CA78 contributions
The ABC stores have snorkels that range from 10 USD all the way up to 40 USD. I bought my son one for 20 and it works fine. There are also several other shops in the area that sell snorkel, SCUBA, and surfing items.

Do we have to pay a fee to enter the park/use the facilities? Do you recommend we bring our own snorkeling gear?
