During the week we were here, this beach was generally empty except for 10-12 local teens and maybe 10 tents scattered about (which seem to be make-shift homeless camps)? We ventured down and had a BLAST running in and out of the waves, but parts...More

This is a peaceful beach during the week but it gets absolutely full on the weekends as the locals have huge gatherings and camping on the beach.

We was just driving and came to this beach park. It was a lot of fun with swings and nice beach for our young granddaughter. We just chilled out here for about 2 hours before heading out for the next beach park.

Nanakuli is home to a very large Hawaiian homestead population and being on the Westside it is not particularly attractive for tourists due to the distance from Waikiki hotels and the unsavory reputation of West Oahu. That being said, the beach itself is great, though...More

Maili Beach has a nice grassy park for soccer, football, volleyball, or some other sports. It's a little dirtier than average (some small pieces of trash but nothing big) due to the roaming homeless population, but I bring my family here all the time. The...More

Our VRBO flat was across the highway from this beautiful beach park. There are swings and jungle gyms for the kids. Washrooms and change rooms for campers and day beach users. And all of this was just across the road from our 2nd floor walk-up!...More

We lived on Oahu for about a year, this was by far my favorite beach. Pristine with that untouched feel, as the title says, it's alive. From week to week the sand scape would change form, would go from somewhat flat to almost cliff like...More

This beach has everything...It is long, wide, uncrowded. Restrooms, picnic tables and a large grassy area. This is a great place to come during the week. There is a large homeless population around, but we did not experience any problems.
