Stumbled across this beach on our visit to Maui. A short walk down some stairs and you are at the most amazing, quiet beach. Great snorkelling spot, was very safe for the kids. Saw turtles while snorkelling and even when just standing in the lovely,...More

This is a beautiful sandy beach with great stairs to access. It did rain hard on us but able to get under the treeline. Need to be a strong swimmer that day but lots of kids and people on boards and snorkeling. We saw a...More

Great secluded cove; shallow, sandy shoreline... big breaking waves so make sure you’re a strong swimmer if the waves are breaking hard. Parking is limited so arrive early.

Finding this beautiful beach is difficult so getting there early to find car parking is recommended. A steep walkway (staired) takes you through what seems a tropical haven to this paradise. A quiet beautiful and amazingly photogenic beach with crystal clear water and fantastic sand....More

Before setting foot on this beach, you're likely going to make a u-turn or two for parking, you're going to walk down some steps, and you're going to pass a whole lot of humanity, but it's going to be 100% worth it. Even when it's...More

Left our condo on south Lahaina at 9am for our drive north to Olivine Pools and Nakalele Blowhole – hikes to get to both. We stopped at the many lookouts (Slaughterhouse Beach) over the Pacific. Absolutely gorgeous and worth the time.

It was wonderful to find this beach and have some snorkel time in crystal clear water. You could see in the distance for much further than any of the other locations we snorkeled. Lots of lovely fish and even a turtle! There are the stairs...More

There is a long walk down a stair structure to get to the beach. Watch the weather here as it could be raining on that part of the island, while bright and shiny a few miles south.

This beach has a little something for everyone. It's not overly crowded. Parking can be at a premium and there is a hike down a set of stairs to access the beach. Shade options are sparse. The reward is beautiful water, in all shades of...More

Came here with some girlfriends after being disappointed with the outcome of the crater snorkel tour. This was such a better experience! In the two hours we were there we saw three turtles and lots more fish. The beach wasn't too crowded so the marine...More

The waves at Slaughterhouse can be quite big in November... it depends how good you are at Boogie Boarding. Snorkeling is better at Honolua Bay which is right ‘next door’ to Slaughterhouse. I’ve seen people snorkel at... More
