This is a great little spot to learn to surf. Teacher are great, waves are kind and the beach is not over populated.

I'd call this assisted surfing more so than a lesson. I took a group lesson (there were four of us). We spent time on land learning the tricks to standing up and then headed out the water. We spent our time with our backs to...More

I took a lesson a long time ago and this was leaps and bounds better! We had an awesome time and learned a lot. The group lessons are small which means you get lots of help and attention. You start out with on-land demo/practice then...More

The instructor made it easy to understand the fundamentals. The location has good waves to make it easy to learn. Remember medium speed 😎

Surfing lessons weren't even on our radar but I observed a class the day before when I on the beach. I was impressed with the attention the instructors were giving their students (2-3 students per instructor) so I signed for my boys up for a...More

We booked a semi-private lesson through the Kauai Surf School for our family of three (2 adults, 1 child- 6yrs old). Our surf instructor was Asher, and to say we were happy with the experience would be an epic (surfer lingo) understatement. The instructors know...More

Aloha Gerry If you guys can catch your own waves, turn with the wave, and get off the wave when you want then I would say there is not a need for lessons. If any of those actions are an issue a lesson can help build the... More
