This beach has beautiful views and big waves. Not a great one for swimming but anyone surfing or boarding might like this. I noticed most people were just hanging out on the beach and under some of the trees. Easy to get to but not...More

If you are staying at or near the Hyatt, definitely check this beach out. It is not great for swimming as there are lots of rocks, but you can watch locals surf! There is a large cliff on the north end which you can hike...More

After scurrying away from Poipu beach due to the massive crowds, we headed to Shipwreck's where the wide beach allowed for plenty of spreading out. The trees lining the back provide plenty of shade. Follow the dirt path up the rocks to the infamous cliff...More

What a great place for a wedding venue! The waves were breaking right at your feet, there was rock formations for pics, a "jungle area" for more pics. Just a special place for a wedding!

Shipwreck is one of our very favorite beaches on the island. Huge waves, always fun to watch the surfers and right next to beautiful Grand Hyatt. It not too crowded either. Bring an umbrella for shade.

We were married on Shipwreck Beach in May. Our day could not have been more ideal. It rained before and at the tail end; however our photographer was prepared so we did not get wet. I highly recommend this beach for a twilight/sunset wedding.

Walked on the beach and watched the beginner surfers and some locals with body boards. Nice sand but surf was high was a good undertow.

Drive past the Hyatt and take the road to the right between the Hyatt and the golf course. Shipwreck Beach parking lot is at the end.

I'm sorry I can't help you. We went as a hiking group from Vancouver Island and were self directed. I didn't notice any guided groups of hikers.
