Gillin's Beach offers great waves and pretty views. There are also some trees to provide a little shade. It is not very crowded so we enjoyed that aspect. The only downside is that there are some rocks, be careful.

Our guide took us to Gillin's Beach and pointed out the only house on the beach. Guide explained it was built for the engines who designed and dug tunnel thru crater wall for sugar cane factory.

The isolation makes this a good beach to get away from the crowds, but a stream that flows into the beach drains a inland dairy farm and can cause high bacteria count in the water during rainfall run offs which are frequent on the island....More

We hiked to Gillin's Beach and it was beautiful. We were tired so we sat and relaxed and enjoyed the beach. There were only a couple of people on it.

Get away from the crowds here. Only four other people there when we went unlike the super crowded North side beaches with poor parking. We hiked here, road is rough if going by car.

it takes a lot of effort to get to this beach, but it's a beautiful, actually breathtaking kind of place. The beach isn't particularly wide, but it's set between large cliffs/outcroppings. to reach the place you must drive an impossible road (think of Costa Rica),...More
