I’ve been to both the Smith family and this luau. The difference is this luau has an open bar with heavy pours. The Smith family has gorgeous grounds, good food, and a good show, but you pay for your drinks. Both are footing their own...More

In our stop to Kauai from our cruise NCL Pride of America we had this unique experience taking the Luau Kalamaku tour. It was something so excited and cultural that I’ll never forget. First when we arrived there along with our group, we were welcome...More

We left this Luau as the last activity that we did the day before we left Kauai (and ended our vacation) and it was very enjoyable. Besides the show being very colorful and festive, the food and drink was plentiful and pretty good. Also they...More

I have seen other similar shows, but this was absolutely the best! Because we had a 9-mo. old, we only attended the fire show. Our group of 8 ranged in age from college-bound to senior citizen, plus our baby. All thoroughly enjoyed the evening! We...More

Didn’t care for. Was way too crowded and felt like an assembly line buffet. Food was average. Took place in a tent and was very hot even though a nice night. Best part was “the show” If doing again, I would look for a luau...More

Before the show, there are vendors on the grounds offering all sorts of different things, most of which were reasonably priced. The open bar was very generous in their pours and moved the lines along. The food was buffet style, very large selection, tasted good...More

This is a very large capacity luau. The area is roofed but not enclosed. It was warm. We paid for bus service from our hotel. The driver used his cell phone while driving and he kept pumping the accelerator. Buzz through the bus was that...More

So you have to do a Luau when you come to Hawaii, especially with kids during their first visit. This is my third one with one being on Oahu and the others on Kauai. They seem to all have things in common but the shows...More

The plantation is a large area that houses a covered pavilion surrounded by touristy trinkets. Bar rack drinks complimentary for the first hour and a half. Food is buffet style. Enjoyable fire dancing and hula dancers. Consider this something to do ONCE if you (or...More

We did not find the entertainment to be really loud and we sat in the front row next to the stage. There were lots of young children present who appeared to enjoy the show. I believe the show was over by 9pm.

I Agree with the above comment. We had a seat towards the back and really saw everything well...Sound system is good throughout the facility.
