About
Though the water only flows during the Central African Republic's wet season, the Boali Waterfalls warrant a journey from Bangui.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stumbled upon this magnificent sight in the middle of nowhere. Just lucky enough to find it in the wet season, flowing fully. Worth a side trip - ask the locals about conditions.

I was at the falls near the end of the rainy season. The amount of water was astounding. Since the last war the infrastructure around the falls has deteriorated. Below the first lookout the steps have collapsed. The wet rocks are quite slippery and require surefootedness to keep from falling. Locals have their hands out for tips and want to charge as much as they think they can get. We were the only tourist present.

when the falls are filled with water. We visited during April, and this was still a good time to go and see the falls. Well worth a visit if on a 2-3 day trip to Bangui

If you are a white and a tourist, it is better to avoid this place. Gendarmerie Nationale arrested me just a few metres before the falls and "Site Touristique du Boali". They drove me to prison in Bangui and later I was released after paying bribes. I did not see the falls.

I managed this plant from May 1962 to January 1966, I sent 1 second comment in 3 weeks, no news, it is very regrettable, but I fired it.
Worth several hours to raise awareness among future tourists, I even offered to help and advise the agencies, other details are still missing
Very important details must be provided to hesitant tourists. I also asked that my name be mentioned without result, even though EDF contributed to this achievement. It's a shame, more details could have helped convince many tourists, I'm personally very disappointed
Good reception of this comment
