Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

First time here. Weekend getaway..from NW Ohio. Stormed earlier and dark clouds rolling in but ..wow! Never knew such beauty so close to home! Very peaceful to just sit..til train went through. Stayed in Mineral Wells about 15 minutes away.

We walked to this hidden gem of a park from The Blennarhassett Hotel and had an informal memorial service with a few family members. Perfect setting, beautiful surroundings, and it just feels like you're where history was made!

We went to this park as it was where the stern wheeler to Blennerhassett Island departed. We observed many people sitting on benches, enjoying the river and others walking. There is plenty of parking along the river, including handicap. The walkway is paved and fairly wide. Trash cans are located nearer the parking area.

When we were in Parkersburg we stayed at the Blennerhassett hotel and within walking distance was this park. Which was the area where you would board the small boat/ferry that would take you over to Blennerhassett Island. At this park was a gazebo and a welcome to Parkersburg sign. It was mostly a park of concrete and steps but it was nice to sit along the little short wall or on the steps to watch the river and the sights.

We walked along the River here while we were in Parkersburg. It’s a nice place to walk with views of the river.

Swung by on a bike to check out the park. Nice view of the Ohio River and confluence. Very muddy after a rain event--stay away from the paths near the river.

Easy to access, plenty of parking close by. Wonderrful place to spend a lunch break or to just go set for awhile. Peaceful setting to relax and "river watch". New mini gazebo and seating area for mini music concerts,( weekly during summer) .You can fish from the shore or walk along the concrete trail.

This park has been redone a few times, but it's a nice place to enjoy a short walk or a quiet seat by the river. You can frequently see sternwheelers & other boats going by, and the occasional fisher.

This is a park to visit to relax, fish, or walk. There is wide cement steps right down to the water. You can bring a chair and sit. The little Kanawaha river dumps into the Ohio river, so the water view is wide and relaxing. You can see the river boat go by as it goes to Blennerhassett Island. My go to place when in town.

This is a small but pretty, quiet little tree lined park along the river. There are areas for sitting so that you can watch the river traffic. It is here you catch the ferry to Blennerhassett island
