We took the half day kayaking tour of Haruru falls. The instructors were lovely and took good care of us. Meandering the mangroves was a real highlight of the tour. We had a stop after the Haruru falls and snacks provided were great, especially to kayak back to base. The biggest highlight is that CoastalKayakers was the only tour that... More

friendly setup, good equipment, room to park, frendly and helpful guide, who adapted tto oour needs easily. the trip is probably better at high tide. but we went to see the waterfall . it is a bit civilized but ofcourse quite spectacular any way.

Hello Kym-Lin W Thankyou for your great review, yes the Haruru Falls trip has different highlights that are tide depending, a low tide brings a lot more bird life to the rivers edge & a high tide allows for exploring the mangrove forrests. We will happily recommend a trip here that would best suit you! Thanks again and safe travels More

Our little family wanted to do something new, so we joined a morning trip up the Waitangi River to the Haruru Falls. We all had a great time! It was so nice to be able to see Waitangi from the water and learn about's its history and wildlife. Haruru falls was amazing, and the mangroves were a cool highlight for... More

Took a kayak tour of the Waitangi River and Haruru Falls in Feb. 2017. There were 16 of us in 8 double kayaks and it was fabulous! We had a lovely time. Chad and Lucy were our guides and made sure everyone in the group was having a good time. The falls were lovely but the trip through the mangroves... More

Thank you for your review & we are glad you found our Haruru Falls trip fabulous! In regards to our "steps from the office to the beach" yes there is a slight ramp to get onto the beach and it is a very rare case for somebody to fall over. We are now making sure everyone is told to watch... More

Our experience was a really poor quality kayak, the new owner who couldn't care less about you. More interested in your money. Would never go back. Especially when you have such a fantastic alternative on the southern end of Paihias main beach.

The tour was recommended and it lived up to our expectation. It was just my wife and I, therefore all very personal. Tye our guide was great, very relaxed and unassuming, no rush our pace and very informative. The falls were not spectacular but the turning point and an achievement for us first timers. We took the 10.00 slot and... More

We recently booked a half day tour with Coastal Kayakers to Haruru Falls in the beautiful Bay of Islands and it was possibly the best tour we did on our trip to NZ!
