This is a great way to see the local land/waterways. I had done kayaking in Tassie and wanted to give it a go again as I Iove the quiet sightseeing and physical activity. Coastal Kayaking did not disappoint! We were a group of 4. My friends had not kayaked before, but loved it and said that they would seek it out as an activity again. Our guide made it a lot of fun, it was physically not too demanding, so suitable for all ages and fitness levels. It was really enjoyable kayaking through the mangroves, as well as out on the Waitangi River. Definitely worthwhile and good value for money.

The kayak tour was so much fun. The tour guide shared many interesting stories and histories about the Waitangi river while we were kayaking. It was a very relaxing pace which is great for beginners. We also had photos taken for us and we got to play a fun competitive game on the water. I really enjoyed the tour and highly recommend this to anyone who wants a fun, relaxing tour.

It was just myself, my partner and the tour guide on our afternoon paddle. But it was amazing. The paddle up to the falls was easy. We got to go underneath the mangroves as well, which was a bit of fun. Our guide also shared a few local tales and some facts which made it more interesting. The guide takes pictures during the trip which you can download at the end. We were also offered towels and water which was great because we had quite a few water fights on our trip! We also decided to walk back afterwards. The walk is 5ks, but offers some absolutely stunning scenery.
