I went along to the Coastal Kayakers hut to see what availability they had for tours and the team very helpfully informed me of the Haruru Falls tour. They gave me the best days and times that the tide would permit us to get into the mangroves on the Waitangi River, and booked me on a trip. At high tide... More

This is a trip not to be missed, we rang up the day before, reserved a kayak [we are experienced kayakers] and away we went up the river to the falls, explored the edge of the Mangrove. Came back two hours later to another really friendly welcome. Now back in Wales UK, we rated that day as truly memorable, a... More

We took the half day kayaking tour of Haruru falls. The instructors were lovely and took good care of us. Meandering the mangroves was a real highlight of the tour. We had a stop after the Haruru falls and snacks provided were great, especially to kayak back to base. The biggest highlight is that CoastalKayakers was the only tour that... More

Hello Kym-Lin W Thankyou for your great review, yes the Haruru Falls trip has different highlights that are tide depending, a low tide brings a lot more bird life to the rivers edge & a high tide allows for exploring the mangrove forrests. We will happily recommend a trip here that would best suit you! Thanks again and safe travels More
