We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you are visiting the Kerikeri Store or the Plough & Feather Restaurant. There is a track alongside the river that takes you up to the Kororipo Pa. A little steep to start with, but worth the view at the top. At the Pa there is Historic information. More walks to do if you want togo further.

This walk is a very nice walk, it is reasonably easy, lots of birds with interesting waterfall lookouts. Recommend it.

Very informative and painted a big picture of how important this area was and why the Pa was here. We made an early morning walk and it was so nice to have the area to ourselves.

A peaceful spot, only 5 mins walk from the Stone Store, pram and wheelchair accessable. Eartworks still preserved and good sinage, well worth a visit.

Some of the track is not that well signposted, so we took a couple of extra loops. However a nice way to break in our walking legs for some much more strenuous walks around NZ

A warm and sunny day so the shade was appreciated on the walks to the falls and then around the old stone house. Very peaceful and picturesque

If you are coming to look at the stone house allow time to do a couple of walks. You can imagine what it would have been like in the past. Very peaceful way to spend a few hours.

This is short walk, about 45 minutes round trip, from Opito bay. Park near the boat ramp and look for DOC signage near the end of the road. The track is steep in places, but worth the effort for the views from the top, and take the detour to the lookout for a wonderful view of the Bay of Islands and Kemp Passage. Half way along is a steep path down to the little shingle bay near the mouth of Te Puna Inlet. Great swimming.
Retrace your steps to the main track and continue to the shingle lane which takes you back to the main road. Take a left turn just past the intersection up Pukewhau Road and at the end of this short road is a track back to the main road down to the beach again.

We sat for quite a while taking in the scenery around the Pa site and you can feel the history of this place. It is very well maintained and steeped in history. A great place to visit
