About
Join us for a Sailing Adventure in the beautiful Bay of Islands, with a small personalised group. Our main goal is for everyone to experience a day they'll never forget. You don't have to be a sailor to join us but you're more than welcome to take the wheel and help out. We can instruct and show you the ropes or you can just sit back, relax and let us do the work. The trip includes an island stop, a healthy fresh lunch and activities.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Dave was our captain, not only did he take us to the most stunning location for lunch, he kept us entertained with stories and also facts around the bay and wildlife. We even managed to catch a glimpse of dolphin, penguin and shark. We had a lovely time with some kayaking, swimming, hiking. Lovely simple lunch was included. Highly recommended - 10/10 from all in our group.

Me and my partner had the highlight of our trip to the bay of islands aboard 'she's a lady'.
A safe and comfortable sail with skipper dave to a beautiful and secluded golden sand beach, where we could swim in warm water, kayak, and adventure in the outer islands, topped off with a generous lunch, and a slow and insightful sail back to Paihia Harbour.
I genuinely enjoyed this more than words, and couldn't recommend this sailing adventure with this skipper highly enough.

Our day out sailing with Dave on She’s a Lady was amazing!! The adventure we went on in the 6 days we stayed in Paihia. Dave’s affinity with the ocean, the islands and his beautiful yacht is so cool to experience and be a part of for a day. The islands are amazing and Stingray Bay where Dave took us for a swim, kayak, hike and lunch has the most incredible clear, emerald coloured water. We were gifted an incredible experience in being surrounded by a large pod of wild bottlenosed dolphins whilst swimming to shore from She’s a Lady - a once in a lifetime experience!!

One phone call from inimitable Liz at the Information office on the Russell pier secured us two tickets to sail on She’s a Lady. We had a delightful day, the weather was most agreeable and we watched dolphins hunt their brunch, penguins bobbing around and stingrays gracefully moving through the emerald waters. We snorkelled, we warmed ourselves in the sunshine, we ate a sandwich and fruit (included) on a deserted beach and enjoyed the company of host, David, and his inside knowledge of the Bay of Islands. A genuinely enjoyable day and a highlight of our grand tour.

Had a wonderful time sailing with Skipper David on She's a Lady in the Bay of Islands. We fished, kayaked, swam and hiked at Waewaetorea Island. The wind was great too, and we sailed a lot. Everyone was welcome to help as much or as little as they pleased. And David's sandwiches were awesome!

We loved our trip on She's a Lady. David was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic - it was infectious.
I knew nothing about the mechanics of sailing, so loved the option to get involved hoisting sails and steering.
Our stop at Sting Ray Bay was magical. Picture Perfect for the Insta !
Loved David's door stop sandwiches for lunch too - made with love and music. A great day, topped off by catching a huge King fish on the way home.

Wanted the Lear Jet Experience. Got quoted for a Private Charting Experience. Sunset plus Star gazing the important navigation Astros in the paradise of the Bay of Islands. Captain very knowledgeable. A true Navigator. Excellent sea stories (The Monkey Island).

We had the most amazing experience this summer with David, who was really fun and very experienced to be with me. We all had the opportunity to sail the boat and had a yummy lunch on a private beach! We saw dolphins and penguins, we were really able to experience the bay in all its beauty! The day was busy but also relaxing sailing around the islands, 100% recommend!

I'm sold! I've never read such ecstatic reviews all mentioning the owner by name.
How do I sign up for tickets/contact info? We'll be in the AUK/Northland area in the next few weeks!
